Great Minds Lecture Series Concludes with Lubecki’s Lecture on Global Rebels

digital-signage_lubecki Jacek Lubecki, Ph.D., concludes the Great Minds Lecture Series Wednesday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fielding S. Russell Union, room 2048. Lubecki will present a lecture titled “ISIS and al-Qaeda as Global Rebels: A Broader Historical Perspective, " during which he will provide a broader historical perspective of Islamic radicalism as a “global rebel” set to undermine the global order led by the United States since 1918.The perspective comes from Lubecki’s own reflection on broader historical patterns and reading of works such as Deluge and The Wages of Destruction. Lubecki has been a faculty member in the Georgia Southern University’s Department of Political Science and International Studies since 2012. His research has been published in journals such as Europe-Asia Studies, East European Politics and Societies, The Polish Review, and The New Ukraine. He has also published in the popular magazine The Armchair General. Lubecki received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver Graduate School of International Studies in 2000.
