Kelly Sullivan, Ph.D., assistant professor in Georgia Southern’s Department of Epidemiology, was quoted as an expert in SELF Magazine, a publication dedicated to providing wellness resources and a community for all aspects of a person’s life.
Sullivan was quoted in the article, “When It Comes To Fitness, Is Sleep Really More Important Than Exercise?” explaining that sleep is vital when it comes to health.
Sullivan told the publication, “Sufficient, quality sleep is critical for health. Studies have shown that chronic insufficient sleep increases a person's risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive impairment."
