Alumna receives award from American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Photo courtesy of Oxford University Press[/caption] Dana (Powell) Bostic, MBA, MLS (ASCP)CM ('03) was recently selected as one of the top five of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) 2016 40 Under Forty honorees at ASCP’s Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, held on Sept. 14-16. Each year ASCP recognizes 40 members under the age of 40 whose achievements and leadership qualities are making a significant contributions to the fields of pathology and laboratory medicine.

ASCP's 40 Under Forty program shines the spotlight on 40 highly accomplished pathologists, pathology residents and laboratory professionals under age 40 who have made significant contributions to the profession and stand out as the future of laboratory leadership.

More than 100 pathologists and laboratory professionals applied for the 2016 ASCP 40 Under Forty program. Individuals were asked to submit a resume and write a personal statement addressing how they see themselves as a leader or becoming a leader within the profession.

The Top Five 40 Under Forty honorees were selected based on each honoree's blog entries and Twitter posts, members' online votes, and the selection committee's final evaluations.
