GS student chosen to attend Future Professionals Leadership Development Conference
Carson Hollingsworth, junior health and physical education major, was chosen to represent the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance at the Society of Health and Physical Educators Southern District Future Professionals Leadership Development Conference in Johnson City, Tennessee, from Sept. 22 to 24. The conference is held annually and provides an opportunity for professionals and students located in Southern district states, and interested in the health and physical education field, to network. Attendees are able to take part in team building exercises, resume building presentations associated with health and physical education, and meet in a classroom setting to discuss the health and physical education major. During the conference, Hollingsworth had the opportunity to complete a ropes challenge course that included three stories of rope challenges with different obstacles that increased in difficulty. “The conference supplied me with so much information and got me more motivated to become a physical education teacher,” said Hollingsworth. “It was an amazing experience.”Posted in My News
