Student media announces new staff for 2017-2018 school year

Six Georgia Southern University students have been selected to lead the University’s student media operations in the 2017-2018 school year. Jozsef Papp will be editor-in-chief of The George-Anne, the University’s twice-weekly student newspaper, and its website, www.thegeorgeanne.com. He is a rising senior from Cumming, Georgia, majoring in multimedia journalism. Lauren Grizzell will serve for the second consecutive year as creative manager for The George-Anne. She will be in charge of design and photography for newspaper and all other printed products. She is a rising senior from Stockbridge, Georgia, majoring in public relations. Kenyatta Brown will be the business manager of The George-Anne. She will be in charge of advertising and sponsorship sales. She is a rising senior from Augusta, Georgia, majoring in middle grades education. Haley Clark will serve for the second consecutive year as public relations and marketing manager for the newspaper, in charge of reader services, events and staff recruiting. She is a rising junior from Bloomingdale, Georgia, majoring in marketing. Cheryl Nuzum will be editor-in-chief of Reflector magazine, the Our House guide for new students and a website, www.reflectorgsu.com. She is a rising senior from Snellville, Georgia, majoring in English. Tamara Price will be editor-in-chief of The Circle, an online news service emphasizing video on multiple platforms, including www.thecirclegsu.com. She is a rising senior from McDonough, Georgia, majoring in multimedia communications/film. The six students collectively serve as the Student Media Executive Board to make decisions that affect all students in the program.
