Parking regulations, decals to change Fall 2017
April 17, 2017
Georgia Southern’s Office of Parking and Transportation is implementing policy changes beginning Fall 2017 that will replace parking pass decal stickers and hangers.
Upon implementation of new license plate recognition software, parking decals will no longer be issued, and individual’s license plates will become their parking permit. Therefore, license plates will need to be visible at all times. Pulling through or backing into parking spaces will no longer be permitted.
Although faculty and staff hang tags will no longer serve as parking permits, they will still be needed for gate access.
Parking and Transportation’s new system will also open up a variety of online options. Learn more here.
Don’t forget to make sure your vehicle information is up-to-date by logging in to your MyGS account and clicking the “Parking Permits & Citations” link under Auxiliary Services.
