Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing receives CASE Grand Award

Georgia Southern University’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing has received the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III 2017 Grand Award in the Advertising category for the “Our Campus is Wild” individual print advertisement. The Office also earned a Special Merit Award in the Graphic Design category for the “Launch Your Business” single-page publication/flier.
Awards included submissions from universities and colleges from Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Kentucky, Virginia and Alabama. All winners will be recognized at the Awards Celebration Dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 13, in Atlanta at the College Football Hall of Fame as part of the annual CASE District III conference.
The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing is responsible for the overall brand strategy and positioning of Georgia Southern University across multiple audiences with an integrated approach to marketing, advertising, public relations, crisis communications, web, digital and social media. Through results-based planning and continual review of the latest analytics and best practices, the office is the University’s primary source of information, marketing and advertising. The office maintains a cohesive overall brand with attention to the unique characteristics and attributes of the colleges and units within the University. Specific attention is paid to recognizing the various audiences, stakeholders and internal and external communities it serves.
CASE District III advances and supports educational and professional institutions in the southeastern United States by enhancing the effectiveness of the alumni relations, fundraising, communications, marketing and other advancement professionals who serve them.
