Georgia Southern University Communications and Marketing wins awards
Georgia Southern University Communications and Marketing recently won five awards as part of the 25th annual Communicator Awards sanctioned by The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. The staff won an Award of Excellence for a Campaign or Series for the Ethics Awareness Week video series that was used to educate Georgia Southern faculty and staff on workplace ethics. "I am thrilled the Communicator Awards are validating the great work that's happening in University Communications and Marketing,” said John Lester, interim vice president of University Communications and Marketing. “This kind of recognition helps some very hardworking people understand the impact they have and the impressions they can make." The staff also won four Awards of Distinction, including one for the commercial, “Come Join Us at Georgia Southern,” and three in the Marketing/Promotion category for work on the Fall 2018 issue of Georgia Southern Magazine, including Overall Design, Copy/Writing and best magazine for an educational institution.
