Student Athlete Advisory Committee hosts sock drives for local shelters

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is asking fans to help them collect 1,000 pairs of socks to donate to Safe Haven and Open Hearts Mission shelters in Statesboro. 

New socks can be donated at the following athletic events from Feb. 8 through Feb. 20. 

• Spring Volleyball Game vs. North Florida — Feb. 9, 5 p.m. 
• Women’s Basketball vs. Georgia State — Feb. 11, 6 p.m. 
• Men’s Tennis vs. Presbyterian College — Feb. 12, 2:30 p.m.
• Men’s Basketball vs. Georgia State — Feb. 13, 3 p.m. 
• Softball Sunday vs. University of North Carolina Wilmington — Feb. 14, 1:30 p.m.
• Baseball vs. University of Tennessee — Feb. 19, 6 p.m.
