Ready to Welcome New Students? Volunteer with The Eagle Experience!

There are several opportunities for you to help welcome the newest members of Eagle Nation to our campuses this fall during The Eagle Experience events Aug. 6-12. Volunteering for these events will provide a chance to engage with our new students, helping them feel part of our community and valued by our faculty and staff. This initiative is truly a campus-wide effort where you can impact the transition for new students; your involvement is critical.

Read below and click on each individual event to sign up. You can sign up for multiple events and shifts.

The President's Picnics

First-year students will leave New Student Convocation for the President's Picnic, where they will find food, fellowship and campus connections. Volunteers will help organize and mingle with students.

Walmart & Target Shuttles

The Southern Express will transport students to Walmart (Statesboro) and Target (Armstrong) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9. Volunteers will ride the shuttles to engage with and answer questions for students.

The Eagle Experience Carnival

Celebrate the start of the semester with our new and continuing students and community! We need many volunteers to help across three campuses on Tuesday, Aug. 10, the evening prior to classes beginning.

The Eagle Experience Info Tents

Statesboro | ArmstrongLiberty

Our new students and family members will have lots of questions during Operation Move-In and the start of classes. Volunteers will assist across campuses to answer questions and hand out giveaways. Dates and times vary, starting Friday, Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. through Thursday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.

There are over 200 events and programs planned during the first weeks of the semester. We encourage you to review the schedule (linked soon through GeorgiaSouthern.edu/EagleExperience) to promote to students and even attend those events open to our greater community!
