PeopleSoft Financial System outage Nov. 4-8
The PeopleSoft Financial System that is used to maintain Georgia Southern’s financial processes will have a scheduled outage from 5 p.m., Nov. 4, to 8 a.m. Nov. 8, for a system update. PeopleSoft Financial System is maintained by the University System of Georgia (USG) IT Services.
The system update will contain a few updates and minor enhancements and functionality.
Please see the key points below:
- All ePro processes including Georgia First MarketPlace Orders and Special Requests will be unavailable during a system outage. All requisitions must be in an open or approved status by noon on Nov. 4.
- The Travel and Expense system will be unavailable during the system outage. All transactions must be in an approved status by noon on Nov. 3.
- Electronic payment requests will be unavailable during the system outage. All transactions should be in an approved status by noon on Nov. 3.
- Accounts Payable will be unable to issue any payments during the system outage on Nov. 7
- Budget Transfers cannot be processed during the system outage on Nov. 7
- Expenditure/Revenue Transfer requests cannot be processed on Nov. 7
- Business Object Reports will be available during the system update downtime; however, the reports will not be refreshed with financial transactions from Nov. 7 through Nov. 8.
Prior to logging back into the system at 8 a.m. on Nov. 8, please clear your cache. Also, be aware that your home screen may look slightly different as a result of this update.
The USG is dedicated to making this process as easy for on-campus departments as possible given the system restraints required for this system upgrade.
