Eagle Space Reservation System for non-academic events launches April 11

The University will transition the non-academic space reservation platform from the current Ad Astra platform to the Eagle Space Reservation System platform beginning April 11. The Eagle Space Reservation System platform provides an updated location for non-academic event space reservation.

Non-academic events are considered to be any event that is not a class or similar academic occurrence.

Academic event scheduling and space reservation should continue to go through the Ad Astra platform.

What does this mean for current Ad Astra Event users?
This update changes very little for most end-point users. Requesting an event or meeting will function in much the same way in Eagle Space Reservation System as it does in Ad Astra. The Eagle Space Reservation System web form that will be used for creating events is following as much of the existing Ad Astra format as possible.

What does this mean for anyone who needs to make a reservation request?
Any reservation request not entered in Ad Astra by March 31 will need to be made in the Eagle Space Reservation System beginning April 11.

When will this happen?

  • March 31, 2023: Last day to enter reservation requests into Ad Astra. Users requesting reservations should plan to have all non-academic events scheduled for dates between now and April 21, entered into Ad Astra by March 31.
  • April 1, 2023: Ad Astra will no longer accept new non-academic event reservation requests. All existing non-academic event reservations in Ad Astra, scheduled for April 10 and on, will be pulled for import into Eagle Space Reservation System.
  • April 4, 2023: All requested reservations will need to be approved by this date.
  • April 1 - April 10, 2023: Reservations can no longer be entered into Ad Astra and cannot yet be entered into Eagle Space Reservation System during data import.
  • April 11, 2023: Eagle Space Reservation System will open for new reservation requests.
