New required ethics refresher employee training module

We are pleased to announce that a new ethics refresher training module with fresh content and an introductory message featuring Chancellor Perdue has been developed for University employees. This training continues to emphasize our strong ethical culture and the importance of transparency and accountability in our role as state employees. As noted by Chancellor Perdue, "Ethics, like safety and security, is most effective when practiced daily. While we retrain annually, we practice daily."

All current employees (faculty, staff and student employees) must complete the training as part of your required annual training (see the USG HRAP on General Criteria for Employment). Ethics refresher training for all Georgia Southern employees should be completed by March 1.

To complete the training, log into MyGS. Navigate to the training tile in the lower right corner. Select “eLearning System Building a Better U.” Please note: if you have never accessed Building a Better U (BBU), several screens will populate when you first log in asking you to select topics of interest. You MUST complete these screens before proceeding. Inside BBU, select the “waffle” or nine dots in the upper right corner and then select “compliance.” Under “Required Compliance Training,” select the course titled “USG Ethics Refresher Training 2024.” You should watch the full video and then take the assessment that follows.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Human Resources at hrservice@georgiasouthern.edu. If you have employees still showing as active in OneUSG, particularly student employees, now is a great time to submit the termination request so they do not show on your incomplete list for this training.
