Nominations Open for University Honorary Degrees
The University Honorary Degree Committee at Georgia Southern University is now accepting nominations for honorary degrees. Current faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to submit nominations for individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their academic fields, the arts and letters, the professions or public service.
To be considered, nominations should provide a comprehensive summary of the nominee’s career and achievements, highlighting how their work aligns with and advances Georgia Southern University’s vision, mission and values.

- Nomination Deadline: Nov. 15
- Conferral Date: May 2025
- Submission Requirements: Nominations must be submitted by a current employee, student or alumnus of Georgia Southern University. Please note that self-nominations are not accepted.
