Nominations open for University Honorary Degrees
Current faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to nominate individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their academic fields, the arts and letters, the professions or public service for a University Honorary Degree.
To be considered, the nomination should provide a comprehensive summary of the nominee’s career and achievements, highlighting how their work aligns with and advances Georgia Southern’s vision, mission and values. Nominations are accepted year-round, but the next deadline is Nov. 16 for consideration of conferral in Spring 2026.
Submission requirements: Nominations must be submitted by a current employee, student, or alumnus of Georgia Southern University. Please note that self-nominations are not accepted.
