Staff honored during Nov. 15 football game for exceptional growth and dedication

Staff from several divisions were recognized on-field at the Allen E. Paulson Stadium during the Nov. 15 football game for their exceptional dedication to personal growth and the development of others at Georgia Southern University. 

This recognition highlights staff members from different departments who embody a deep commitment to Georgia Southern’s vision of "People. Purpose. Action: Growing ourselves to grow others" at multiple levels of the University. 

These individuals were identified by a cabinet-level member and recognized for the positive impact they make through their leadership mindset, actions and consistent contributions to the success of University students, employees and campus community. 

Honorees include: 

  • Business Analyst Trey Cashon – Division of Business and Finance
  • Director of Research Operations Melissa Adams – Office of Research and Economic Development
  • Assistant Director of Student Accessibility Resource Center Chelsea Lanier – Division of Student Affairs
  • Donor Relations Coordinator Caitlin Long Borges – Office of University Advancement & Foundation Services
  • Acting Title IX Coordinator Julie Ogburn – Office of the President
  • Associate Director of Advising Megan Bowen – Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success
  • Chief of Staff for Academic Affairs Trina Smith – Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
  • Director of Campus Visitation Akilah King – Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success
