Volunteers needed for Spring 2022 Commencement
As commencement is a respected university-wide event, the Commencement Committee is currently seeking faculty and staff volunteers to serve as Commencement Hosts and Candidate Assistants for each ceremony. Ceremonies will be at the following times and locations:
Monday, May 9 - Paulson Stadium, Statesboro
- 10 a.m. - Graduate and undergraduates from the College of Arts & Humanities, Waters College of Health Professions, and Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health
Tuesday, May 10 - Paulson Stadium, Statesboro
- 10 a.m. - Graduate and undergraduates from the Parker College of Business, College of Education and the College of Science and Mathematics
Wednesday, May 11 - Paulson Stadium, Statesboro
- 10 a.m.- Graduate and undergraduates from the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences, and the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing
Friday, May 13 - Savannah Convention Center
- 10 a.m. - Graduate and undergraduate students from the College of Arts & Humanities, Parker College of Business, College of Education, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Behavioral & Social Sciences, and the Allen E. Paulson College of Engineering and Computing
- 3 p.m.- Graduates and undergraduates from the Waters College of Health Professions, and Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health
All volunteers will be asked to arrive for their shifts two hours prior to the start of the ceremony.
As a Commencement Host, your task will be to greet guests, distribute programs, and assist with guest seating. To volunteer as a Commencement Host, please click here.
As a Candidate Assistant, you will need to ensure that students are in the correct college seating area, ensure each student has a GradPass, that college rows have an equal number of students in addition to other assigned duties throughout the ceremony.
