Join colleagues for the University System of Georgia System Showdown Step Challenge

Get ready for the “Clash of the Campuses” as we compete with other University System of Georgia (USG) schools for the first step challenge of the academic year! The USG System Showdown Step Challenge runs from Aug. 15 to Sept. 25. Registration is open and participants can join at any time during the challenge. Rally your team and show your team spirit by joining the challenge today!
USG Well-Being Credit
Employees and spouses enrolled in a USG healthcare plan are eligible to earn $20 in USG well-being credit by tracking steps each week of the System Showdown Step Challenge. If you have waived health coverage, you can still participate in the challenge.
Teams
Teams are automatically formed in this challenge as participants are assigned to a team with others from their institution. This is an awesome opportunity to join with colleagues to participate in active competition. Spouses who work for different institutions will be sorted with the primary holder’s institution. Please note that a participant can join the challenge at any time but cannot join again after withdrawing from the challenge.
Scores
Team scores are based on the average number of steps per team member. The more steps your team gets, the better your score. To contribute to the score, a participant can upload their steps from a fitness tracker or app. Each participant can get credit for a maximum of 30,000 steps per day. The institution with the highest average steps at the end of the challenge will win the USG Traveling Trophy!
