Sherri Cannon wins award from Southeastern Branch of the American Society of Microbiology

Sherri Cannon, senior lecturer of biology on the Armstrong Campus, recently received the Margaret Green Award from the Southeastern Branch of the American Society of Microbiology.
“It feels amazing to be recognized in the southeast for outstanding service in the teaching of microbiology,” Cannon said. “I couldn't have become the faculty member I am today without the inspiration from my students and the collaboration of the microbiology faculty on the Armstrong Campus.”
Established in 1986, the Margaret Green Award is presented to an individual who has rendered outstanding service in the teaching of microbiology, particularly at the undergraduate level, while at a Southeastern Branch institution.
