Scott Taylor appointed interim vice president for enrollment management

Scott Taylor has been appointed interim vice president for enrollment management, effective April 1. Over the past six months, he has stepped in to provide steady leadership and strategic direction during the vice president for enrollment management vacancy. In this interim role, he will provide the leadership and continuity needed to drive the University’s enrollment and student success efforts forward in partnership with faculty, staff and stakeholders. He brings a deep institutional knowledge, strategic and innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, commitment to student success, and dedication to the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success’ shared values of collaboration, service and excellence.
Georgia Southern partnered with Parker Executive Search to conduct a national search for this position. The search committee carefully reviewed nominations and applications, conducted initial interviews, and invited three finalists for on-campus visits, allowing students, faculty, staff, and university leadership to engage with the candidates. Ultimately, the search failed due to an inability to secure a successful candidate. In consultation with division leaders, the search firm and University leadership, it was determined that appointing an internal team member to serve in an interim capacity would be the most effective path forward.
