Scott Taylor named Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Experience

Scott Taylor has been named Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Experience, leading a newly integrated portfolio that aligns all admissions and student onboarding programming for the University.  

Taylor has long been a trusted leader at Georgia Southern, recognized for his innovation, cross-campus collaboration and dedication to prioritizing students' needs. Taylor’s leadership has been instrumental to many institutional initiatives. He helped lead the development of momentum practices, the development of Georgia Southern’s Strategic Enrollment Plan, guided the Student Experience Journey Mapping project, and introduced the Happy or Not platform to enhance the quality of student services. He also led the administration of the Student Satisfaction Inventory and regularly partners with the Office of the President on student-related matters. 

In addition to these initiatives, Taylor has modernized core enrollment processes, including streamlining undergraduate admissions, enhancing success coaching and advising practices, and redesigning graduate recruitment and program admissions procedures. He has also led the integration of emerging technologies, such as AI and VR, to enhance recruitment efforts and build more responsive, student-friendly service models. 

Since October 2024, he has successfully served in multiple interim leadership roles across The Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success, demonstrating the ability to lead complex teams while delivering measurable outcomes. He brings a strong track record of advancing enrollment strategies and enhancing student experiences through innovation, collaboration and outcomes-focused leadership.   

In this new role, Taylor will oversee the alignment of critical enrollment functions, including undergraduate and graduate admissions, as well as student orientation and family programming. Taylor brings thoughtful leadership, deep institutional knowledge and commitment to student success to this expanded role.
