Important information regarding classes and parking on Oct. 9

Georgia Southern is preparing to welcome thousands of alumni and fans to Paulson Stadium for the football game against Southern Miss on Thursday, Oct. 9. 

Please read the following information regarding Statesboro Campus classes and parking on Thursday, Oct. 9.

>>> CLASSES
All in-person courses on the Statesboro Campus will shift to online delivery beginning at 12:30 p.m. and through the end of the day on Thursday, Oct. 9. 

>>> PARKING
Paulson Stadium Parking Lots
All parking lots at Paulson Stadium will close at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. Vehicles must be removed from these lots by that time.

Lots 29, RAC, and the PAC
These lots must be vacated by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Charme residents with Lot 29 permits may continue parking in the designated residential area of Lot 29 reserved for game days. Physical permits must be displayed in order to use the lot.

Tailgates and RVs may begin setting up in these lots starting at 1 p.m.

>>> TICKETING
No ticketing will occur for those who need to park in alternative campus lots before 12:30 p.m. for classes or work.

Faculty and staff impacted by these closures should coordinate with their supervisors to ensure appropriate office coverage and alternative parking arrangements as needed. If your office requires assistance with parking accommodations, please contact the Office of Parking and Transportation directly.

>>> BUSES AND SHUTTLES
On Oct. 9, the buses will continue their normal weekday routes until 4:30 p.m. The gold route will continue until 6 p.m. and the Publix shuttle will run 6 - 9 p.m. Game day shuttles will follow their normal game day routes
