Go, Putt, Give, For The Community
Iota Phi Theta, a Georgia Southern University fraternity, has teamed up with The Clubhouse at Hackers to offer a new and exciting community service project this Thanksgiving season. Through the generous contributions of The Clubhouse at Hackers owners, the Iotas are providing a tremendous discount to The Clubhouse this November. By participating in this charity event, supporters will receive considerable discounts to The Clubhouse at Hackers attractions.
The Fall Can-demonium is a weeklong canned food drive happening November 15th-18th, from 6 to 10 p.m. The Iotas are co-sponsoring this dual-benefit charity event to raise funds for Toys for Tots, and canned food for America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Local businesses are encouraged to donate to support the cause.
During that week, participants can bring their tickets and canned goods to redeem an entertainment package that includes: 1 large bucket of range balls, 1 round of miniature golf, 3 batting cage tokens, and coupons for The Clubhouse. Two (2) canned goods are required to redeem your entertainment package. The I-Shuttle will be running all week to offer students free rides to The Clubhouse. Go to www.clubhouseathackers.com for a virtual tour of the brand new facility.
You can call (802) 365-1963, or visit www.goputtgive.com to order your tickets. Starting next Monday, the Iotas will be at The Clubhouse Guest Services desk all week from 6pm-8pm selling tickets. Tickets purchased online can be picked up at this time as well.
According to Malcolm Howard, president of the chapter, this project’s goal is to “gather support from local businesses and citizens, and the Georgia Southern community as we help the less fortunate during the holidays”. “We hope this event grows to build a new tradition of giving in Statesboro, an annual event that the whole community can enjoy”, said Howard.
