University to Host '2011 Send Off' for Eagles Football Team Friday Morning
Georgia Southern University is inviting fans to the “2011 Send Off” celebration at the Parrish Football Center (Located on Fair Road in Statesboro near Hanner Fieldhouse) on Fri. Sept. 2, 2011 at 7:45 a.m. The University’s football team will load buses at 8:00 a.m. and depart at approximately 8:15 a.m. for their season opener versus Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
Fans are asked to wear blue and white as the University celebrates College Colors Day, an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great. Fans across America are being encouraged to wear Georgia Southern apparel and/or colors throughout the day.
