Military Resource Center Receives Gift from North Dakota National Guard
The Georgia Southern University Military Resource Center received a gift Tuesday morning that came from across the world.
A folded American flag and a framed certificate arrived from Task Force Talon of HQ, 1/112th Aviation Battalion, North Dakota Army National Guard.
The certificate reads, “This American flag was flown 1.7 hours over the country of Kosovo in direct support of Operation Enduring Freedom (KFOR) on 7 March 2012.”
The certificate is signed by pilots and crew chiefs from the North Dakota Army National Guard.
The Georgia Southern University Military Resource Center opened its doors in 2011 to continue the University’s support for the military and veteran populations by supplying services and resources to military members who are first-time students, transfers or soldiers returning from deployment.
The Military Resource Center is located on campus at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center.
