The first day of the 2012-2013 academic year is Monday, August 20---A day to shout your True Blue Spirit and show that you’re a part of the Eagle Nation!
Join Georgia Southern University President Brooks Keel , Head Football Coach Jeff Monken, SGA President Dominque Quarles, the Southern Pride Marching Band, and many more for one of Georgia Southern’s most popular events of the year.
DAY ONE is designed to welcome students back to school and encourage school spirit. For new students, it will be a time to learn Georgia Southern cheers, the alma mater, and to meet Dr. Keel and Georgia Southern coaches and athletes.
The event will feature:
- Southern Pride Marching Band
- Georgia Southern Cheerleaders
- GUS
- University’s Live Bald Eagle Freedom Flying into the Stadium
- Free Food
- Free Giveaways
