Celebrating Freedom's Courtyard
The Center for Wildlife Education and The Lamar Q Ball, Jr. Raptor Center celebrated Freedom's Courtyard on Tuesday. Steve Hein, director of The Center for Wildlife
Education, hosted a ceremony to thank Lavender & Associates and Action Lawn
& Landscape for their generous donations to build a new home for Freedom,
the University's bald eagle.
"This
is a great new addition for the Center, and we are truly humbled by the support
we have received for more than two decades," said Hein. "As our
national symbol, school mascot and institutional ambassador, Freedom is now
appropriately displayed for all to enjoy. The donor recognition walls surrounding
the new facility is our way of thanking those individuals who have been such a
vital part of the Wildlife Center's journey and are the reason for our
success."
