Staff Council Scholarship and Book Award Recipients Announced
The Georgia Southern University Staff Council has selected three individuals as Staff Council Scholarship and Book Award Recipients:
Loren E. Haynes: Staff Council Scholarship Recipient
Shanekia Smith: Staff Council Book Award Recipient-Undergraduate
Amy Zieziula: Staff Council Book Award Recipient-Graduate
The Staff Council Scholarship was established to assist dependents and spouses of current Georgia Southern University staff employees. Haynes is the daughter of Eleanor Haynes, Office of Research Services & Sponsored Programs.
The Staff Council Book Award was established to assist Georgia Southern staff employees who are also working on undergraduate or graduate degrees. Smith serves as a Clerk III in Archives and Records and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Zieziula serves as the Judicial Officer with the Dean of Students.
Scholarships and awards such as these are funded through fundraising activities and A Day for Southern donations made to the Staff Council Account.
