Student, Faculty and Staff Submissions Needed for Student Magazine

The submission deadline for Georgia Southern University’s art and literary publication Miscellany Magazine for the Arts, produced by the Office of Student Media, has been extended to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28. Pieces of art in any medium, as well as original written works can be submitted by students, faculty and staff. Written works may include poetry, short stories or song lyrics. They must be original works and can cover any topic. There is no length requirement. All entries should be submitted to gsumiscellany.submittable.com. The submission fee is $10. The submission website will prompt a payment option. The Miscellany is published every fall and spring semester. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their work in a prestigious arts and literary publication. Many of those who have been published use this as a professional development opportunity. Faculty and staff will be judged in a separate category. Once submitted, entries will be selected for publication in the spring issue. Those selected will be announced on Tuesday, April 8 during the release party. All submissions will be published on the Miscellany website, will be considered for gallery display and may be read aloud during the event. For more information contact marketing manager, Marissa Martin at SMmarketing@georgiasouthern.edu or Miscellany editor, Alanna Navin at miscellany@georgiasouthern.edu.
