Garden of the Coastal Plain Hosts Plant Sale and Water Festival

The Garden of the Coastal Plain at Georgia Southern University is hosting the annual plant sale on Friday, March 28 from 2 – 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. In addition to the plant sale on Saturday, the Garden will also host the “Go! Go! H2o Festival” from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
During the sale on Friday, participants will have the opportunity to get advice from green thumb experts Bill Renz of Wise Nursery and Scott Thompson of Thompson’s Garden during “Preview with the Pros” from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Participants may also stroll the Garden’s collection to learn about plants of interest.
"Growers all over the region supply us with interesting plants that do well in this climate," said Bob Randolph, associate director of the Garden of the Coastal Plain and curator of the plant sale. "We want to provide you with plants that will thrive in your garden."
The “Go! Go! H2o Festival” will explore water as a vital resource. “Water is a precious resource we tend to take for granted, and everybody will have fun learning about all it does for us,” said Randolph. Children’s activities will be available during the event.
