The Optical Society Announces New Student Chapter at Georgia Southern University
The Optical Society of America (OSA) is pleased to announce the formation of the Georgia Southern University OSA Student Chapter (Eagle Optics). This newest addition (the 2nd OSA Student Chapter in the State of Georgia) joins more than 325 OSA Student Chapters in more than 55 countries around the world. OSA is the leading professional society for scientists, engineers, students and business leaders working in optics – the science of light.
OSA Student Chapters provide leadership experience and year-round networking opportunities for students with an interest in optics and photonics. They also work closely with schools and community groups to present programs such as hands-on demonstrations, lab tours, contests, competitions, and more.
