Georgia Southern to Host Seminar on Discrimination and Hostile Work Environments

Georgia Southern University's Division of Continuing Education will host a professional development seminar "LAW 125: Discrimination and Hostile Work Environment - What You Need to Know,” from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at the Hunter Maclean Brunswick Law Offices, 777 Gloucester Street, Suite 400, Brunswick, Georgia.

The seminar will address what qualifies as discrimination, who can be charged with harassment and how best to reduce the likelihood of these charges in the workplace. It will also focus on the specific policies and training to ensure the best workplace environment and the requirements for investigation if a case were to arise. The seminar will be taught by Hunter Maclean partner and attorney, Wade Herring III.

Qualified participants earn 1.5 recertification credits toward Professionals in Human Resources (PHR), Senior PHR or Global PHR re-certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Georgia Southern is an authorized provider of HRCI continuing education credits .
