Student Activities Hosts Fall 2014 ‘Boro Browse Event

The Office of Student Activities is hosting 'Boro Browse, a bi-annual event that provides on-campus departments, Statesboro area businesses and non-profit agencies an opportunity to share information about their goods and services with faculty and staff, as well as new and returning Georgia Southern University students. The event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside Russell Union Rotunda and on the Pedestrium. During the event, an EAGLEXPRESS Showcase will be held as well as a part-time job fair component. “When you move to a new town, it can be overwhelming. ‘Boro Browse is our way of providing students with a one-stop-shop of what Statesboro has to offer – from area businesses, local ministries and even Urgent Care facilities to departments on campus, like the Academic Success Center,” says Memory Littles, activities coordinator with the Office of Student Activities. “There are many departments that incoming freshman or transfer students may not be aware of. It’s a great opportunity for exposure.” Participating offices are encouraged to bring giveaways, refreshments and promotional materials that may be of interest to students.
