Georgia Southern University to Host Award-Winning Filmmaker for Hispanic Heritage Month

Georgia Southern University will host Adriana Bosch, award-winning series producer and filmmaker on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, as this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month guest speaker. Bosch has written, directed and produced political and social documentaries for more than 20 years. Her credits include  “Latino Americans,” a three-part, six-hour documentary series for PBS; “The Great Fever,” a film on Cuban doctor Carlos Finlay; “Fidel Castro,” a critically-acclaimed two-hour television special, “Jimmy Carter,” a three-hour documentary biography and “Latin Music USA”. She has also produced and edited several documentary films for “The American Experience,” a series showcasing documentaries on American history. Bosch, a native of Cuba, holds a Ph.D., in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
