"We see 150 students a day and we're bursting at the seams. The Center will allow us to better achieve our mission–to keep our students healthy so they can succeed academically." The home of the new Health Center, scheduled for completion in November 2015, will be located at the corner of Chandler Road and Plant Drive, across from the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center. The $8.3 million building will house exam rooms, a women's health unit and services, such as x-ray, pharmacy, laboratory and immunization. The facility will also include the Eagle Eye Care Center, education resources and an area designated for physical therapy within its 39,000 square feet. "We are no longer a Band-Aid station on our campus, and we've not been operating under that model for the last several years," said Deloach. "Our students expect the full gamut of primary care and this facility which will be a primary care multi-specialty health care center, will allow us to be their medical home away from home."
