Georgia Association of Special Programs Personnel Student Initiative Leadership Conference on Nov. 7
On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Georgia Association of Special Programs Personnel’s (GASPP) Student Initiative Leadership Conference will take place at Georgia Southern University. Approximately 300 participants ranging from middle school to college students and adults will be on campus for an informative, fun-filled day designed to inspire and empower students to reach their full potential. The day’s activities are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include dynamic speakers and workshops, a college and career fair, college tour and entertainment. Several academic competitions also will be held on Saturday, including an Educational Talent Search Academic Bowl for middle school students, an Educational Talent Search High-Q Competition for high school students, Upward Bound Scholars’ Bowl, and the Student Support Services/Ronald E. McNair Debate competition. Georgia Southern University, a public Carnegie Doctoral/Research University founded in 1906, offers more than 125 degree programs serving more than 20,500 students.
