Celebrate Thanksgiving early at Lakeside

Eagle Dining Services welcomes all of Eagle Nation to enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch at Lakeside Dining Commons on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Georgia Southern University’s Lakeside Dining Commons Executive Chef, Clay Pulpepper, created the menu with a traditional Thanksgiving meal in mind. A selection of main courses, such as oven-roasted turkey and prime rib, alongside dishes of green bean casserole, smoked Gouda mac and cheese, sour cream and chive whipped potatoes and many more options will be available. After the main courses have been served, an assortment of desserts will follow.
The third annual Thanksgiving lunch is open to all students, faculty, staff and community members. Holders of the Eagle Dining Plan will be allowed unlimited access to the event. The cost to Eagle Express card holders is $12, and for those paying with credit, debit or cash, the cost is $15.
Lakeside Dining Commons and all retail dining locations will close on Friday, Nov. 20 at their normal hours and re-open on Monday, Nov. 30. Dining commons will be open during break with a limited menu and limited times, listed below.
- Saturday, Nov. 21 – Tuesday, Nov. 24: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.; 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. (with a limited menu)
- Wednesday, Nov. 25: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Closed for dinner
- Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day): Closed
- Friday, Nov. 27: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 28: Normal business hours
