García, an English Language Fellow in Machina, Malawi, represented the University at a college fair in Lilongwe, Malawi, on April 9. She was one of many American alumni from more than 40 U.S. colleges and universities that showcased their school pride and encouraged Malawians to further their education in the United States.   Along with distributing vital information about Georgia Southern’s admissions processes, English language exam, TOEFL, expectations, and availability to financial aid, García created a welcoming and interactive environment by designing a Georgia Southern-themed photo booth for individuals that showed strong interest in attending the the university. García received her B.A. and M.A. in modern languages at Georgia Southern. As an English Language Fellow, she works hand-in-hand with trainers of educators to develop improved language pedagogy in Malawi.
