Georgia Southern honors 53 faculty and staff members during the 2017 Retirees Recognition Ceremony

On Wednesday, March 29, Georgia Southern University took time to pay tribute to 53 faculty and staff members for their years of service to the University during the annual Retirees Recognition Ceremony at the Builders of the University Terrace. The event recognizes those employees who have either retired since the last ceremony or announced their retirement this year. University administration including President Jaimie Hebert, Ph.D., were on hand to celebrate the 53 employees who have given a combined 1,089 years of service to Georgia Southern. “Your years of hard work have brought this University unprecedented growth and success that speaks to your tireless work ethic and professionalism,” said Hebert. “Over time, Georgia Southern University has seen sweeping changes, but you have persevered and you have adapted. “More importantly, in my mind, you have preserved -- preserved the values and principles that make Georgia Southern the place that we all love so dearly and for this I cannot thank you enough,” he added.
