“My name is Kori Roney and I graduated from Georgia Southern in 2009. I recently was married to my husband Paul who is a die-hard Florida fan. One of our very first trips together was to go watch Georgia Southern play against Florida at the Swamp. It was one of the greatest games that we’ve been to and a game that none of my friends or myself ever let him forget. Naturally, when we got married in November, we included some of our school’s traditions–fight songs, little jabs at each other during our vows, etc, but what I was most proud of was the surprise groom’s cake I had made for him. A replica of the Florida stadium, complete with the gator mascot. But as a little treat for me, the baker, knowing what a huge GSU fan I am added a little something extra–a score board complete with the final score of the GSU/Florida game!”
