True Blue in Alaska
Georgi Garrett Darsey (’93) and Meg Garrett Fils (’87) are TRUE BLUE and share their love of Georgia Southern from Alaska.
Meg says: “Both my sister and I obviously graduated along with my husband Manny Fils (’87) as well. Our two daughters graduated too, one in 2013 and one just this past spring. Our nephew is a junior. The tradition and the pride of Georgia Southern is something that is in our blood. It runs deep. From watching the first football game with Erk Russell at Statesboro High to the expansion of Paulson Stadium, to entering the Sunbelt Conference, the feeling of being a True Blue Eagle is so much more…you just have to be a a Georgia Southern Eagle to know!”
