The Fall Sales-Talent Showcase Concludes a Successful Career Week at Georgia Southern

A focused and dedicated career fair, solely for students seeking opportunities in professional selling, provides an intimate setting for partners of the Center for Sales Excellence.

STATESBORO, GA (September 25, 2025) – Nearly 100 sales students attended a dedicated professional selling career fair with 13 corporations in attendance, each recruiting for full-time and intern opportunities. Hosted by Pi Sigma Epsilon, the career fair proved to be a success, focused on a singular career path, as partners of the Center for Sales Excellence looked to fill roles on their sales teams with the best and brightest from Georgia Southern University.

“The career fair is such a great a way to meet employers and learn more about potential career paths, I’ve started two different internships this year,” notes Bella Blackledge, a senior majoring in marketing with an emphasis in sales & sales management from the Parker College of Business. “My advice for underclass men, come prepared, dress professionally, and bring a lot of resumes. Don’t be nervous because employers understand this might be your first time interacting with someone in the professional field!”

Held in the Parker College of Business, the Sales Center’s corporate partners in attendance at the Fall Sales-Talent Showcase included  C.H. RobinsonCintas, CarotekFastenalFederated InsuranceGray Media, Herc RentalsJEAR LogisticsMutual of OmahaNorthwestern Mutual, ProCare TherapyRNDC, and Tom James.

“The Sales-Talent Career Showcase was one of the best career fairs I have ever attended,” explained Jason Payne, a sophmore majoring in marketing with an emphasis in sales & sales management from the Parker College of Business. “The career fair helped me, and many others, make great connections, leading to meaningful conversations with hiring firms. Being active in events like this could mean the start to your career!”

“The student and corporate turnout for this experimental career fair was phenomenal,” exclaimed D. Travis Brickey, Senior Lecturer of Marketing and Executive Director of the Center for Sales Excellence. “The cream truly does rise to the top. With the fifth career fair in three days, the best of the best was on display, and I think the partners enjoyed the more intimate setting. It was a win-win for everyone!”
