Biography
Arda Yenipazarli’s primary research interests focus on closed-loop supply chain management, sustainable operations, and environmental innovations. His research employs marketing-operations and finance-operations models to assess the profitability and efficiency of green operations, exploring how businesses–whether traditional profit-maximizing firms or dual-purpose corporations like B-Corps–can transform sustainability initiatives from mere compliance obligations into sources of profit and competitive advantage. He also examines the role of businesses and government policies in fostering a “geo-green” strategy that promotes energy efficiency and clean-tech innovations, addressing environmental challenges while creating new economic opportunities. His recent work has been published in journals such as Decision Sciences Journal, Naval Research Logistics, and European Journal of Operational Research. Yenipazarli is the recipient of the 2017 ENRE Young Researcher Award from INFORMS and has twice received the Gary M.
