More Press for FastPitch 2011
The Savannah Morning News has just published another article on the FastPitch competition that we are organizing on Thursday at the Coastal Georgia Center. The article says, “FastPitch 2011 is a collaborative effort between The Creative Coast, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech Savannah’s Advanced Technology Development Center. The leaders of those groups decided to organize FastPitch in response to what they discovered during last fall’s “Start-Up Lounge,” an invitation-only networking event for local entrepreneurs with investors.”
The article also profiles contestant Tommy Linstroth’s and his concept for a new clean-energy product which he has been “brewing” for only three months or so.
About FastPitch
The program is designed to identify promising local entrepreneurs and gain community resources to help start new ventures and grow existing ones in order to impact on the local economy. The concept allows for entrepreneurs to make a three-minute presentation of their innovative venture ideas and be assessed as to the viability of the venture by local community leaders and academic professionals. The most promising venture ideas are further encouraged, supported, and hopefully funded stimulating local economic development.
