Sigma Nu Sponsor the E-Zone
The Sigma Nu fraternity has recently agreed to become a sponsor of the Entrepreneur Zone and on Saturday 17th September they held their first event in the facility. The event drew together the Alumni Advisory Board of Sigma Nu and the executive team. It focused on strategic planning, financial operations, housing, the LEAD program and rush, as well as, other operating issues.
Present at the meeting and representing the alumni were: Bill Geddy (CIBER Inc.); Larry Sands (Valley Crest); Tony Fair (A G South Inc); Bruce Groberg (Merrill Lynch); Chris Garretson (FDRESA); and, Eric Moore (Eric Moore & Associates). Also attending was Dr. Luke Pittaway (Academic Adviser).
Sigma Nu is currently supported by the Center for Entrepreneurial Learning and Leadership. The last event was yesterday, on Tuesday September 20th when the fraternity held its inaugural LEAD seminar in the City Campus E-Zone on 58 E Main Street.
Sigma Nu was founded in 1869 by three cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. The Fraternity’s values are summarized as an adherence to the principles of brotherly Love, Truth, and Honor. Sigma Nu currently has close to 180 active chapters and colonies on college campuses throughout the United States and Canada, and has initiated over 227,000 members since its foundation. One of them is here at Georgia Southern University.
The Fraternity Mission statements are:
