Meinhardt Vineyard Trip
With the beginning of Georgia Southern University’s Entrepreneurship Club, we wanted to have an early event that would draw many prospective members. With the help of Dr. Pittaway and Scott Chaney, a visit to the locally owned Meinhardt Vineyard & Winery was able to be arranged for our group. Leading us on a tour of the property was one of the co-owners, Mr. Ken Meinhardt Jr. While not only showing us the inner workings of the winery, Mr. Meinhardt was kind enough to tell us the beginning story of the business and its rise to prominence in the southeast region in addition to answering all of the many questions we could ask. With the conclusion of the trip, we all agreed that we had learned a much greater deal of information and advice than we had expected to receive. If events such as these are able to continue, which several more are being planned now, then much can surely be learned from involvement in the Georgia Southern University Entrepreneurship Club.
