Mission
The Office of Global Engagement empowers Georgia Southern students to develop intercultural skills and knowledge that advance their role as global citizens. Guided by the values of Georgia Southern University, the Office of Global Engagement cultivates international collaborations, partnerships, and research opportunities for Georgia Southern Students, faculty, staff, and global partners. The Office of Global Engagement equips the Georgia Southern community to thrive in intercultural environments and to transform the world through exchange programs, virtual exchanges, study abroad, study away, visiting scholars, and internationalizing the curriculum.

The Office of Global Engagement aspires to raise the international profile of the institution and become a regional leader in the development, implementation, and execution of internationalization activities.
Our Team
The professional staff of the Office of Global Engagement thrive on challenges and strive to create an environment that supports the internationalization efforts of Georgia Southern University and the educational advancement of its students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding local community. By engaging in consistent professional training, Global Engagement staff stay up-to-date with the policies, procedures, regulations, and best practices necessary for facilitating student and faculty support in Experiential Learning (Study Abroad, Study Away, Exchange), Visiting and Exchange International Student & Scholar Services, and all other areas of responsibility.
