MAT
Offered in Savannah and Statesboro
Pearson Graduate Admissions has made the decision to retire the MAT with the final administration given no later than November 15, 2023.
What is the MAT?
This test is used as an admission test for candidates seeking graduate admission (Master, Specialist, & Doctorate) primarily in the field of education. Some specialized graduate programs other than education also use this test. Most policies related to this test are developed by Pearson and are included in the Candidate Information Booklet. Test dates, test fees, and registration procedures are established by the institution administering the test.
The MAT is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies. It is a computer-based exam and consists of 120 partial analogies that are completed in 60 minutes. The MAT is intended to measure the ability to recognize relationships between ideas, fluency in the English language, and general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT. Dictionaries or any other reference aides are not permitted when taking the MAT. Review the Candidate Information Booklet

The percentile ranks on your personal Score Report indicate the percentage of examinees in the norm group (2003 Norms) who received a scaled score lower than yours. Percentile rank ranges from 1 to 99. Your personal Score Report also includes a listing of the recipient schools you chose to receive your scores.
The MAT website contains the most current and complete information about the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). It includes information about applying to take the test, the contents of the test, and what happens after you have taken the test.
