Facilities Services Team Volunteers at Mobile Food Pantry in Pembroke
Recently, members of Georgia Southern University’s Facilities Services team had the honor of volunteering with America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia during a Mobile Food Pantry event at Pembroke Christian Church in Pembroke, GA.
Over the course of approximately four hours, our team worked diligently to ensure that every family in attendance received the food and support they needed. We stayed on-site until the very last box was distributed, committed to making a difference for the local community.
Our volunteer group reflected the diversity and dedication of Facilities Services—bringing together electricians, plumbers, HVAC mechanics, members of the lockshop and paint shop, as well as administrative staff. It was more than just a day of service; it was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together—not only as coworkers, but as proud representatives of Georgia Southern University.
