Beautification Takes Flight with Greek Life and DFS
Students from the Greek community recently joined forces with the Georgia Southern Division of Facilities Services (DFS) Grounds team to take part in a series of hands-on beautification projects across campus. From planting new greenery to revitalizing outdoor spaces, their efforts brought new life to key areas and added a burst of color and care to the environment.
This collaboration gave students an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the campus they call home—while also building connections with university staff and peers from other organizations. With support from the DFS Grounds crew, volunteers got a behind-the-scenes look at the planning and hard work that keeps Georgia Southern’s outdoor spaces thriving year-round.
In the end, the partnership proved that when students and staff work together with purpose, they don’t just improve the landscape—they grow something lasting.
